Atlanture Sports, a sports startup co-founded by television personality Rannvijay Singha and entrepreneur Shubham Choudhary, has raised Rs 21.02 crore in funding from Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd (HMVL), the publishing arm of the HT Group.
The deal was made through HT AdVentures, the group’s investment wing, starting with a Rs 10.5 crore investment last week. The rest will be invested in phases.
Atlanture Sports, which is expanding in India and the UAE, aims to reshape the sports industry through innovation, smart IP development, and global strategies.
Atlanture Sports said the strategic investment from HMVL is a big boost for its main venture, the Real Kabaddi League, which is quickly becoming one of India’s most exciting grassroots sports platforms.

The funding will also help the company grow further by supporting content innovation, global events, and stronger engagement with young and regional talent.
Season 4 of the Real Kabaddi League will soon kick off with player selection trials across 10+ states in India. For the first time, the league also plans to host an international edition in Dubai.
With a rising fan base, celebrity involvement, and strong local support, RKL is on track to become a global ambassador for traditional Indian sports.
“We are thrilled to welcome Hindustan Media Ventures as a strategic partner. This investment is a powerful endorsement of our long-term vision to build a modern sports ecosystem rooted in Indian identity. It will allow us to scale our operations, strengthen our media presence, and deliver global-standard experiences across all verticals,” Shubham Choudhary, CEO of Atlanture Sports.
“This partnership is more than financial — it's a shared belief in the untapped power of homegrown sports,” said Rannvijay Singha, who has used his celebrity following to bring visibility to the league. He said the alliance with HT Media will allow the company to extend Indian sporting formats to global audiences.
Anirudh Singhal, Head of HT AdVentures, said, “Atlanture Sports combines sharp execution with a strong grassroots vision — making them a standout player in India’s evolving sports and entertainment space. We are excited to be part of their journey and believe they are well-positioned for accelerated growth.”
